The new Gloucestershire Festival of Polo 2023 poster design
I'm very pleased to have been asked again to design the promotional poster for this year's Gloucestershire Festival of Polo after having done so for 2022. Certainly a fun task and something a bit different to the normal location-based designs.
After last year's design featured a two opposing players battling for the ball, this time I've gone for a single player galloping towards the viewer and swinging his mallet back in a big arc – even breaking the border of the poster for the first time. To help create a sense of dynamic sporting action the text is on an angle too.
Like last year I'll also have a stall at the festival in their shopping village area where you'll be able to buy framed and unframed versions of this poster and all of the poster range – including a few special offers too.
The festival is worth a visit as it really is a good day out for the whole family – even if, like me, you know nothing about polo! As well as the polo matches, shopping and food stalls, there's a fantastic traditional funfair which my kids thoroughly enjoyed. You can take your own picnic to sit and enjoy the action with too.
It all takes place at Beaufort Polo Club, just outside Tetbury and next door to Westonbirt Arboretum. To find out more information and buy tickets head to their website.
